Just bought a 2010 Sedan; Any tips?

So I just bought a brand new 2010 Toyota Yaris Sedan and I must say I absolutely love it. The interior and exterior are both sporty and classy and the mpg definitely makes the car a total package.

As much as I like the look of the car, I am interested in doing some cosmetic upgrades. I am going to be painting the stock rims black and putting the silver toyota emblem over them, and painting the actual wheel base metallic silver so it will look like the interior of the car; black and silver.

I had some questions about possibly smoking out the headlights and tail lights, but I am new to this kind of thing. I also wanted to put a small spoiler on the car. Does anybody know any cost effective ways to do some upgrades to the car? Thanks in advance!

There's a factory spoiler made for the "S" version. I looked into them at first as my wife wanted one after giving her 2007 "S" to our daughter. At that time someone was selling them cheap on eBay.

I highly recommend the following:

TRD or Micro Image Rear Sway Bar (makes a huge difference in handling)
Scangauge

That's a beauty! You might consider repainting the silver dash center another color. There is a hammered metal finish that might look really good.

I had looked at some dash kits online. They had a carbon fiber one which looked pretty sharp. I had to wait forever for them to ship my Yaris because no dealerships had a black sedan with black interior like I wanted. The black interior with the silver dash looks good right now, but I am interested in another look.

I second the REAR Anti-Sway Bar addition. It makes a world of improvement (Highspeed handling, cross-wind stability, decreased body roll) with no negitives.

Micro Image forums, online store and shop are now closed. It was a great eight year run, but it was time to focus on other things. I'm still selling parts on eBay under micro*image seller ID and customers can still make requests for anything specific.

Looks sharp man, I like the idea of painting the wheels black. Maybe semi-gloss? Not sure, it's hard to visualize.

Welcome to the forums!

Since you mention cosmetic mods, you may be interested in eyelids, which I think look great on the Vios: http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10491
