OK, back on the topic of HID's... sort of.

hpks-lan03-bb.jpg

This picture gave me a woodie. Those have fogs, headlights, projectors... everything. Built in. With a black super-clean (if not super-cheap) looking housing.

Some company in Taiwan makes them. Ironically, they're called Eagle Eyes.

http://www.eagleeyes.com.tw/

I don't think the projectors pictured above (from an 04+ Lancer) are built for HID's. I think they're meant for halogens. Either way, I just thought this was interesting. I had never seen an aftermarket headlight replacement with even a faux projector. If I ever saw a similar product for the Yaris with real projectors, I would sell things around me to get them including (but not limited to) siblings and pets.

There are some aftermarket complete HID headlamps like that for a few models. Problem is, NHTSA says they're illegal. SEMA would love for it's members to be able to market these, as would many car owners.

holy hell batman!!!! GLARE! I wouldn't want to drive in front of you at night. i'll just drive behind u and turn my bi-xenon high beam on. Thats just awful. Do some people a favor, do a retrofit. You will cause accidents with that glare.

HID continued

just to add a little observation regarding HID's. I've got them on some of my other cars- they came with them- but I don't like them in our area because of all the hills. If you are going down a hill and about to go up another, the sharp cut off doesn' allow you to see ahead as much as you would with stock or Halogen bulbs. I'm not as worrried about the grill of a Hummer as I am about a large horney deer running out in front of me during rutting season!

I always thought it was weird how Bob Dole constantly referred to himself in the third person.

I mean, c'mon... who does that?!

His constant member bashing and shit stirring is what got him banned. No loss, he brought nothing to the site anyway.

There's a lesson to be learnt here, kids... Be a shit disturber and people laugh with you.. but when you start to stir the shit, it's a different story.
