Watch What You Post

I read this in the paper during lunch and it totally made my day.

I'm so sick of people in their Mercedes or BMW speeding, not yielding to pedestrians/other cars, blasting through stop signs, and running red lights. Especially people who do it in their parents' vehicle, or one that was bought with mommy and daddy's money.

http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/arti...ld-his-licence

Condensed version:
Some stupid kid brags on a beamer forum about driving 100 km/h over the speed limit, leading to much condemnation from other members. One member goes so far as to contact the police, who canvas the kid's neighbourhood for witnesses to the incident he alleges happens. Police find a witness, find the idiot, and the idiot loses his licence. The system works!

Karma is a bitch.

I find it funny that the "How Fast Have You Got Your YARIS To Go" thread is only about 4 down from this one on my "New Posts" list.

Seems to me that over-powered (for everyday city street use) cars such as the M5 are a magnet to douchebags who cannot keep to themselves the knowledge of having such power at their control. The fact that they cannot unleash their cars' potential in everyday traffic flow (cause they don't attend track days or similar events which allow for safe stretching of the right foot) seems to be driving them nuts. Or they have really small dicks. Or both.

So obviously they have to do stupid things in traffic (excessive speed, useless lane-changes, short sprints etc) to let others know they have an M5/enormous dick. It's the same with bikes.

I'm not saying all M5/bike drivers are like this, but the percentage of showoffs seems to be higher than, say, among ordinary 528/scooter drivers.

I ran over a bum driving drunk on my way home from the bar last night.. I hope the police don't find this. Or I hope they launch a frivolous investigation into it... I'm not sure

Could they have charged him if he hadn't admitted it to them in person?
Wouldn't they have to actually observe his driving to make the charge stick?

No, they could charge him with the probable cause they had, but if he fought it court he would have a pretty good case to get it dropped.
