Alain, I think you deserve an award for the most quickly upgraded Yaris here
 For the O2 sensor in the midpipe, the common fix is to use a spacer (aka spark plug anti-fouler) or an elbow joint, Garm's got some of those available too, I believe. BTW the exhaust smell is worst when the car has just been turned on and is in warmup mode (rich mixture) but it's not to bad once it's been running for a while.
