On a side note.

A friend of mine had Japanese writing on his Sunbird GT rear window but that was rice and they tried to boot him out of the car club.
Even though it ahd a Japanese turbo under the hood, FMS, and intercooler

Funny how if it's an american flag or writing on an import.. it's Patriotic
However Asian flag or writing on a so called American car is rice...

I dont think its so much where the car was made/designed but more or less where the car is driven, or even the ethinicity of the driver/owner.

I mean if you lived in Mexico and had a Canadian flag next to your front door people would be giving you secound looks.... unless you came out the front door and said "nice day 'a"

(not to stereo-type, but its the easiest way to try and get my point across)
