Yeah, we get the full variety of weather conditions here and a pretty fair mix of city/highway as well. Honestly rust has been the biggest killer for me.
I don't know, I drove my beaters hard when I was young just like most kids, but I was also careful to maintain them as well. I have known people who did break their engines all the time, but they were boring them out and taking them to the track.
