I dont have much experience in the matter as i got my scangauge in the summer, so no heat was needed. But i have heard that heat causes little to no hit on FE, because its only excess heat coming from the engine. Again, have not tested this. And i would assume its not true when the engine is just turned on on a cold morning, but only after its been running a while.
