So, the sun glare testing has been interesting. Yesterday, I was out with it from 9:30AM to 11:30AM, and couldn't get it to a point where the glare was bad enough to make it unreadable.
Today, I was out with it from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. During that time the sun was almost dead overhead. With the sun shining directly vertical down through the windshield, the glare was bad enough to make it very difficult to see. It didn't get washed out, like the transflective LCD, but without shading it with my had, it was quite difficult to see. At that same time though, the fuel gauge was nearly unreadable and even the speedometer was hard to see. |
