Padded armrest and door reflectors!!!
Anyone else wish the Yaris had a softer door arm rest? I emailed the guy I purchased my dash pads from to see if he had any thicker neoprene with an adhesive backing. It just so happened he does and it’s specifically for this purpose. He sent me a piece and I trimmed it to fit exactly where my elbow rests. It’s just thick enough to provide comfort but not so thick it looks ridiculous stuck to your door. Here are some photos.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In addition he sent me a couple reflectors made by 3M for the inside of the doors. Many “upper-class” cars have those safety lights built into the door so other vehicles will see you opening your door at night. Of course the Yaris lacks these, but, the 3M reflectors are huge improvement over stock. They are extremely visible at night. ![]() ![]() ![]() Of course you DIY'ers could make these but for those who would rather buy them; The guys name is Wilson Wong and you can contact him at pilotpads@msn.com Those of you who have the dash pads know how excellent his customer service is. I believe he will be putting these products on e-bay also so watch for that if they interest you. Last edited by PetersRedYaris; 02-19-2007 at 01:05 AM. |
