Pulleys aren't really going to give you a measurable improvement in horsepower, but you will feel the difference. In my personal opinion, it was the best bang for the buck mod I put on my car, made it feel far less sluggish. Following that would be a short shifter and associated bushings, also no HP improvement but made the car that much more fun.

Remember, horsepower is not the only thing that counts when driving a car!

If you're dead-set on seeing improvements on the dyno, then header is your best bet. DC Sport's seems to be the most well-liked, and seems the best constructed out of the available ones.

After that, getting more horsepower gets tricky. You could open up your exhaust more with some custom piping, or use a Camcon unit to tweak the VVT-i, find Jason@SportsCar's thread on this, they managed to squeeze out an extra 13 or so hp. More than that, and you'lll have to go all out with a high compression engine build, or go turbo. Either way you'll also need some proper tuning, so your wallet's the limit!
