New Mazda2 Official Debut
I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. The dimensions have grown but the cabin area looks roughly the same, so I am assuming the new Mazda design language is to blame for most of the additional length. Weight is up, but not substantially. Not really impressed with 113hp, especially when most of the competition is already beating that number with older tech.
I am interested to see if Toyota really does share this platform for the new Yaris or if the rumors are true that Scion will gain the Mazda2 sedan instead. I cannot see offering a Scion sedan and a Yaris hatch built on the exact same platform. That seems too redundant, even for Toyota. |
