Easy oil filter access
I haven't changed my own oil in any of my cars since the mid 1980's. When the Jiffylube type places came out it became no longer worth the hassle.
... and no, I've never had a problem with any of the quick lube places ... guess I've been lucky. This design makes access look super easy -- I might go back to doing it myself.
