Based on the proven fact that motor oil never wears out, it only gets contaminated or its additives get depleted, it stands to reason that if we keep it clean and free of solid particulate matter and undiluted by water, diesel fuel, glycol coolants and highly corrosive acids, lubricating oil will retain its physical and chemical properties almost indefinitely. Electro-Lube Refiners filter out solid particles down to 5 microns, while original equipment filters on the engine will only effectively remove particles of over 30 microns in size; 60% of engine wear is caused by particles smaller than 30 microns. It traps and neutralizes acids, keeps water content to less than 0.5% and fuel dilution to less than 1%. It helps prevent sludge which forms when dirty oil is too saturated to carry away all of the waste products it has cleaned out of your engine.

Since Electro-Lube is a bypass refiner, it cannot block the flow of oil to the engine although it will greatly prolong the service life of the original equipment full-flow filters that come with the engine.
