replacing radiator, 2 small hose fittings on bottom of new radiator
I have 2008 yaris manual transmission. I hit a block of ice today and now coolant is coming out of the front end. I got a new radiator and it has the upper and lower hose connections, and it also has 2 brass fittings on the bottom that stick out towards the engine. I dont see those on my existing car. I am assuming those are for a transmission cooler for an automatic? I have a manual. Can I just cap off those fittings? I would assume those are also a separate "passageway" than the coolant, designed for the ATF fluid to flow through the radiator in its own channels. So technically you can leave them completely open. Correct?
