Ouch... That is the exact reason I would sacrifice weight for strength anyday.

I agree no wheel could have survived this, but Heliums do have a reputation for being weak (the lip on it does look thin). By the way, what was your air pressure when this happened? In the pictures, it looks like your tire survived; crazy on a hit that hard.
