Just installed my short shifter that I bought from cali yaris' store. Shifts really stiff and short, as advertised.
I have one problem though, I couldn't get the OEM pin that's supposed to go into its original hole to secure the short shifter to the original pole. I went ahead and put the rest on with no problem, you guys think that's ok? This is probably due to some design differences with the USDM ones from our local ones (Philippines). And I have a 2NZ-FE engine which is a 1.3 variant of the US ones. I haven't driven it but I did try to shift and it seems to work as advertised. Is that ok? |
