You should start making decisions about your car based on fact, science and solid information. Because if you knew how oil works, you would not write the crud you do. 6,000 to10,000 is not unreasonable if one uses good synthetic oil and applies oil change intervals according to their driving conditions. I have cars that have lasted 300,000 miles with 6,000 to 10,000 oil changes, and they never burnt any oil, and drove like new.
