hahaha!!
yeah, I can probably find one with my face close up but it prolly won't help much because of the glasses and the helmet is covering 95% of my face anyway! I'll see what I can find. |

Yep, that is your average iguana. His name is Joe. I adopt the old cranky ones nobody wants and they live in luxury here for the rest of their lives. Joe has his sweet moments like in that picture. And yes, I love his tail too. He's the first one I have had with a complete tail.

Wow, SolarVitz, that ship model in the background is a real beauty! Models like that are kinda rare; the only other examples I've seen were in a museum in Exeter...

aawwwww, don't be. You can do it too. I'm pretty sure they're still doing that course
![]() One thing, though, if you're sensitive to heat, don't do it in the middle of the summer. I wasn't prepared for the heat factor. I did it in the middle of the Summer, and by noon, with the fireproof suit / helmet, it felt like 120 degrees in there (was probably well over 100 degrees out in the sun anyway). The engine probably releases some heat as well, and you're pretty much laying right under it - or it feels that way. So takes that in consideration if you register. Otherwise it was grrrrrrrrrrreat! I need to do it again. |

Unfortunately for me, it's all about saving to try to buy a home. It's never ending. Oh I know all about racing in the heat!! I've done track days on my bike at Streets of Willow and Buttonwillow... in the middle of summer. I'm pretty sure that when I was at Streets of Willow (near Palmdale) it was well over a hundred. Now factor in full leathers, helmet, and a hot bike between my legs. It was torture! Well, not the machinery between my legs anyway. Just the heat! lol ![]() For fun.... (I can't remember which I've posted on here before, but I'll add my favorites again) ![]() Passing on the inside/The rest of my avatar pic: ![]()
