Unfortunately, the Canadian 1.5L gasoline engine have a slightly different transmission, making it impossible to install an LSD.

That's the first time I've heard that. I wonder if it's the same case with my Mexican Yaris?

I have no idea, but it seem that we have the 1.3L 5MT transmission in our 1.5L. I have not yet had a confirmation on that. But the 6 bolts LDS will not fit, ours have 5bolts if i remember correctly. or vice versa.

note: i am talking about the 99-05 Echo that was sold in Canada/US, the model pictured above. Not the current 06/07+ yaris.

The better way to check is to ask cusco directly.
