The car was keyless, so he couldn't just turn the key off, and you go ahead and pull the ebrake at 120. In fact, do it in the yaris with rear drums.
And this is clearly darwinism in action. I've had cars(both owned and rented) where the first thing I did was toss the floor mats. If you don't have the common sense to see a loose mat is gonna get caught under the pedals, you probably shouldn't be operating a car. The yaris is the first car I've driven with floor mats in a long time, because it has the clips. Also, enough with the alarmism. They haven't even finished the investigation, and this is a VOLUNTARY recall by toyota. |
