I don't like having the TPMS as it is. But wouldn't it be cool if it would give you a readout of the actual pressure in each tire?

It would - They report pressure and temperature, so it would be very cool to have a live display of both for each tire. One of these days I'll figure out the protocol for the Yaris TPWS and make a device to do so. Crashy will be my test platform, since she has my 09 steelies with the sensors. Both of my sets of alloys that I run on my 09 are sensor free.

So... would this be something that could be done via the Scangauge II's XGauge feature? Xgauge allows you to send arbitrary queries to the ECU and display the response, scaling and/or offsetting it as appropriate. Essentially, it allows you to define arbitrary new gauges. That really would be quite slick.

No. From what I've found with things like turning off the seatbelt chime via can message to the cluster, you need to send more than one command, and the Xgauge mode only supports sending one packet.
