Did you check the big 120A fuse inline with the positive battery terminal. There are 2 fuses there, one 120A and one 60A.

If you foolishly didn't disconnect the battery before replacing the alt, you could have very well blown one of the 'Main' fuses.

You're right, 120A is fried and I'm a fool trying to save a buck, learning the hard way.

Can you replace just the fuse or do you have to do the entire fuse block that includes the 60A?

the fuse block comes as one so you get both 120/60 and price is 24$ plus tax at toyota .

definitely the 120 is blown from the problem described...and its 24$ bucks from Toyota , location is on top of the positive terminal .
