Yes, it’s just an aluminum sheet

Just take it off. It’s so much easier than messing around with it to keep it

There are six heat shields in total. The other 5 are all under the car. You'll have to get under there and check them all for corroded connection points. I've had to deal with 3 underbody shields over the past few years.

I know these are rotary engines and they have a metallic sound but thats not what he is talking about.(I used to have a RX7 BTW)

Got it solved.It was a thicker metal flange around the exhaust.A spot weld came undone.Mechanic retacked and all is good.

Thanks and will check.....only hot weather is it present.....not a peep in colder weather.

AGAIN...ONLY HOT WEATHER noise appears!!!!
