My lifetime average is 31.37 mpg.
Absolute worst was 24.17 mpg.
Absolute best was 46.51 mpg.

Your lifetime average is consistent with what I usually see from tank to tank. Having said that, I probably have added weight over stock and do not drive like a grandma, so 24 MPG for a kid that drives like a grandma is a little suspect, imho.

OP is in Pennsylvania and it has been very cold of late hence latest fill-up will inherently be bad. Also, an unknown at this point is what type of driving the kid does. I suspect it is not long haul freeway stuff. More likely to be short hop, cold engine jaunts.

My advice, have the kid start maintaining meticulous fuel logs. Don't try chasing down causes for suspected bad f/e numbers in the middle of winter. This car absolutely hates the cold.

Makes sense. I would defer to you since I'm in the land of basically no cold lol. I've been surprised by this week of rain we've had.
