i'm in the orange county area of southern california and i get comments all the time...the last one just happened last saturday in a ralphs parking lot, the time before that was thursday in a drive thru...just after getting the car i took it to vegas with a friend and the second i turned onto the strip i got some yells from people walking the strip...honestly, part of what makes me love my car so much, aside from the obvious (price, mpg, etc.), is how many props i get from random people while driving it around...

I think she posted in the new forum a few days after she bought the car. It's a real sweet ride

i never got a stare or inquire about what car i drive. They are everywhere, it's like a parasite, everybody knows what it is here.

although, i did drive to NYC with my Echo hatchback a few years ago.. nobody asked me what kinda car it was :(

I have only seen like 2 sedans and maybe 3 hatchbacks in my area... Don't seem to be all that popular (unless they're just driving at different times from me)...

No comments from strangers... Just friends/family who have called it:
egg
pod
eggshit (thanks dad)

Yanno, the usual stuff...

I guess that means if their car breaks down, or they don't have transportation for some reason, they won't want you to give them a ride in the Yaris, then ?

Eggshit is mean. It's not REALLY that small!!

Yeah, I live in the country. Me being 6'4 and 350 lbs, I get stares and giggles all the time... until I get out of the car. I guess there is something about a giant fat man getting out of a small car that startles people. Of course, I think 3/4 of the stares I get are from people looking at my car vibrating to pieces cause of my subs lol. I like it loud

He drives an 03 Taco... Before that, 98 Jeep Chereokee, 92 Blazer, old Chevy Caprice station wagon. He's used to bigger vehicles...

So to him, my car is tiny!

I usually get "is that a hybrid". Kind of gets irritating. The worst though, was a friend of mine:
"Oh, is that a hybrid?"
"No."
next day
"Oh my friend was telling me how you drive a hybrid, hahaha you can't haul anything in that, what's the point?"
"it's not a hybrid, and it hauls ass..."
":O"
