C'mon, no one older than me at 71? I'm kinda surprised...
Re the Avatar: No, it is not the first airplane I flew in, but it is the only one I have flown myself! The design is mostly Chanute with modifications for stability and convenience. A buddy of mine and I designed, built, and flew it in the early 70s. It now hangs in a museum, mis-labeled as a "replica", and built by a guy I have never met... Can't always trust the info in a museum! |
