215's on 17's may rub after the springs settle. It shouldn't be bad, probably on the roughest of roads or hardest cornering on the plastic wheel well liner. Look for a 38mm offset in the 17s, I believe that's the magic number.
I personally like 17's... here are our cars with MB Weapon 17's with 205/45/17's and Megan Racing Coilovers.
