I want to see hairspray. I haven't seen the original but I love broadway shows and I like to watch the ones that get turned into movies, even though not all of them does the original justice.

Do yourself a favor and see the original first. Seriously.

Battle Royale Directed by Kinji Fukasaku was very good.
I enjoyed Transformers
I did not enjoy the new Harry Potter.
I watched Match Point the other day...not bad.

Have you seen B.R. II? If not I wouldnt worry too much..its pretty much crap. IMO.

A few more good ones if your into Japanese Action/fantasy:
Casshern dir. by Kazuaki Kiriya
Shinobi dir. by Ten Shimoyama
Shadowless Sword dir. by Young-jun Kim (this one is Korean actually)

yeah battle royale II was total crap, agreed, I am not big on sequels anyway I never expect too much at all

These are older classics aren't they?

Casshern dir. by Kazuaki Kiriya
Shinobi dir. by Ten Shimoyama
Shadowless Sword dir. by Young-jun Kim (this one is Korean actually)

I like takashi miike's stuff and he -never-disappoints.

j-horror is more my genre

my g/f made me watch alpha dog with her. which is horribly written, directed, and produced. but is based on a very interesting true story.

saw transformers which was pretty tight.

going to see the simpsons which better rock ass!

well, I will say this for alpha dog, I think they tried to keep the story based on evidence and the real sequence of events so writing was limited, it is one of those "is what it is movies", nothing spectacular that's for sure
