I work for Cummins Inc. that makes diesel engines for the Dodge Ram trucks and we announced a while back that we are making 4 and 6 or 6 and 8 liter engines to go into light duty trucks and possibly cars. They are currently working on the facility in Columbus,IN and they have already ran both engines and they have far surpassed the emissions standards.

That would be nice. Would love to see some diesel cars in the USA. I have my 2006 Ford Powerstroke sitting in the driveway, collecting dust. It gets good mileage for such a huge truck. I think the Yaris could get 55-60 MPG.
