As the poop turns... [Goodbye ZPI]

For all intents and purposes, I was done bashing ZPI. They did a teriffic job of making themselves look like morons without me.

I was thrilled to see their prescence here fizzle away when it finally did. It was a breath of fresh air.

However, today I stumbled upon what I believe is the most compelling story ever posted on a car forum. Here is a thread from Scionlife posted days ago that chronicles the EXTREMELY entertaining death of ZPI.

http://www.scionlife.com/forums/view...&highlight=zpi

I'm on page 4 and I had to stop to make some popcorn.

You also notice how they had a dyno run of a Yaris turbo on their website, and there was never a dyno chart... just some hip-hop and some graphics that came up.

Then, the only definitive proof of turbo was Mark "Don't Smoke Me" Potts and his 8.7 second 0-60 run (or 0-68) that was so less than impressive. There is some other guy that supposedly got the turbo done at ZPI, but you never hear him on here nor has he ever done a video, photo, or anything else (particularly in response to this fiasco).

So, there you go, I'd love to get a turbo, from a company that is going to be around in the future and actually ship product.

I feel for any entrepreneur, but when you offer product you can't ship, you need to NOT OFFER THE SHIT! DUH...

Thanks for talking me out of donating $6000 to the ZPI going out of business fund, Chino!! Ok, now we need to make our own!

Damn...i knew ZPI was bad on the forums here and scionlife....but the fact that they were so troubled and still kept advertising and taking in peoples money by sponsoring mods to cars in those car mags...like the guys subie in Super Street and also this months MODIFIED mag...the Nissan Versa with Fox Marketing...it had ZPI all over it...that's just plain wrong... misleading the public.
After that article hit i bet tonnes of people hit the ZPI site and poured in lots of $$'s........to them that they won't ever see again....

It's too bad though, it was good in a way to have one company step up and make some real performance products for this platform... I just guess their business practices were not quite so good, or they had good intentions but just could not live up to them, who knows...

It has been like this with ZPI since day one. A few of us tried to warn the rest of you when they first came over here. You guys said we were being "unprofessional" or "insert something else here."

Goodbye poop! Nice not dealing with ya.

Seeing broken crank pulleys was enough for me to avoid them! Thankfully there are forums like this one that help expose companies that do stuff like this.
