Raspy? We'll, at WOT, yes. That's usually when any exhaust sounds raspy. But at normal cruising spped,where you'll be 90% of the time, the noise is going to be obnoxious with a straight through muffler. You should really leave that resonator. It's basically like a mini muffler. If you think the resonator is going to decrease flow to the rest of your system, get an aftermarket resonater that is longer than the stock resonator. This will decrease exhaust noise when cruising even more than the stockie but will give a nice raspy note on WOT. Heck even without a Megan header and having the stock resonator, my magnaflo sounds raspy when pulling hard up a hill at WOT. For some reason that extra load on the engine makes the raspyness come out.
