currently I present bulk mail to the USPS, however in exactly 2 weeks I'll begin using my degree (finally) and become a GIS (geographic information systems) specialist for the natural gas provider in St. Louis :)

I work as a graphic designer by day, and a pizza delivery driver by night. I also work for an auction company doing data entry and computer/network troubleshooting, and occasionally I make house calls for computer repair/upgrades/troubleshooting/and tutoring.

i work at a small IT consulting company in Illinois. Right now, I'm working on sharepoint.. i'm certified in sharepoint..not that anyone knows that that means.. but that's ok. I majored in psychology but instead, i'm working on computers. I have always been a quick learner though so a lot of software I figured out by myself. this is how i'm able to stay alive haha

Sharepoint, huh? My boss is trying to get us all into it, but this is a small Gucci-type boat shop with only 50 employees (prob. 40 actually building, 10 of us in the office). I don't see it as necessary, but what do you think, Sherry? You know it better than he does

Well, Sharepoint is designed for small to medium sized businesses and actually, after giving quite a few demos, pretty much all of them like it and thinks that it could help them run their business more efficiently. It stores documents on a SQL database so it's easier to share documents and it won't be lost as easily as if was on a hard drive. Also, it has version control so it will actually keep copies of pervious versions of a document.. before it was revised and you can always revert back to previous versions. There's also task lists, etc. etc. I can keep going but let's give you an idea.. big businesses are using something similar called SAP. That costs millions upon millions of dollars. As for Sharepoint, with all the required software, it's about $10,000. Therefore, it makes more sense for smaller companies.

If you have more questions, PM me

I was in business for myself for a little while selling vintage clothing. I had an awesome Japanese customer and it was a lot of fun but thanks to friendships going sour and being young and stupid I lost what I had and got trapped in corporate hell. I am a prisoner of my cubicle now and the mortgage business is fading fast. I just know anyday now I'm going to get the axe. Looks like I'm at a crossroads again.
