Not true again. The QS syn oil is great stuff and will not harm a Yaris motor.

As long as an oil's rating is SM, it is great oil and will provide all the protection a motor requires, REGARDLESS OF BRAND.

If you take the worse SM rated oil and use it in your Yaris, the engine will last just as long as if you used the most expensive special brand also at SM rating.

There is no better way to determine the goodness of an oil then a UOA.

Too much religion on oil brands....and often one's bias toward brand X is based purely on emotion, the cool purple color, etc and lacking any scientific data.

Buy the SM rated synthetic that is on sale regardless of brand and your motor will last 300,000+ miles.
