well I am royally screwed...
Turns out the warning was pretty clear in the bill, but... I never opened the damn envelope... must have been kinda busy that day, and since it's a flat rate I didn't bother to check... And the worst thing is... The $300 is for this month *so far*. The bill for October which I just received comes up to... wait for it... wait for it.... 65,000 Baht which is just about US$1,800... That's some of the world's most expensive emails I have sent! So yeah, I am clearly in the wrong here, gonna have to meet up with one of the service managers to try and appeal it.. After all I've been using exactly the same service as before, just billed very differently...
