There's been some talk about winter tires VS the all seasons and if there really is a difference. I tried this at an autocross once and it does make a difference when you are autocrossing in the snow with winter/snow tires. We had WRX's slipping and sliding on summer tires taking in lap times twice or three times what the cars on snow tires were doing.
