When I was in Vegas it was paradise.. 105 degrees with no humidity.. perfect weather.

Flew back into Chicago from there, 45 degrees.

Flew back into Ohio, 40 degrees. Ugh..

Vegas is fun to visit but I don't think I'd want to actually LIVE there...it's so dirty.

Depends on where you're at. They have a lot of nice areas too. My cousin lives there and he loves it.

And he's from New Philadelphia like me.

I'd still like something middle of the road better...NC, SC, VA, KY, TN....Georgia, even...
if I only knew people...

I'll take southern NC or South Carolina out of your list.

I wouldn't want to live in KY, TN, or VA.

I just don't think it'd be warm enough for me. I'm looking for bike-riding weather all year long.

I'm not even sure South Carolina would be.

South Carolina has some great pluses. I am near Columbia in the center of the state. About 2 - 3 hours to the beach and 2 - 3 hours to the mountains. 3 hours to Atlanta. 1 1/2 hours to Charlotte.

Winter is great (although it is suppose to be 20 tonight - NOT Typical). Now summer is hot and humid. We can start swimming about April all the way until the end of Sept.

I have lived other places, but can not imagine Ohio, Wisconsin, Vermont, etc. I am sure I don't even own a "real" coat at least not by your standards. My girls are still wearing their rainbows.

Why do you think so many people move South? NC, SC, GA they are all great choices.

You can ride most days here (maybe not in the upstate). It is windy here today so you might want to drive the Yaris.

I'd want to live somewhere closer to the beach. But about a year ago I was SO close to moving to Wilmington, NC. I even had a job secured there. But I backed out because my fiance` at the time didn't want to go last minute. =/

I wish I would have.
