I think it depends. If I were going with a dedicated track setup, I think I'd go with a lightweight 14 with uber-sticky tires. Most sticky 15s start at 205mm wide, and I rub quite a bit with 205s. My 195s are better, however, many r-compound tires don't come in a 195/55/15.

i can fit a 245 without rubbing
