It's just a newer computer that has learning capabilities that adjust to your driving style. Some say this is worse because it's harder to tune should you want to add forced induction (turbo).

I think thats the "i" in "VTTi" (or whatever ever the heck the acronym is) for "intelligent". Varible valve timing with intelligence? So the ECHO has it too, or at least an older version of it. But no turbo for me in any case.
