Simple enough. Those brats will be released within hours, a judge will say "naughty, naughty", and that will be it. There is NO responsibility for their actions!

Drag all four into civil court and demand payment in full for the vehicle, including your out-of-pocket expenses. Even if the only persons to get money out of it will be the lawyers, the perps will be paying, one way or another, for many years. If they are juvies, sue their parents, make the take responsibility for their little brats. This isn't done enough, and the kids think they are insulated from any meaningful punishment. That has to change.
