amped speakers are a lot easer to get a good clean sound out of in my opinion.the speaker with an amp has enough power to push it easier with out distorting.

no need for rears......really there just isn't.

Good sub 10" look into IMage Dynamics.......they are able to take lots of power and sound very clean even maxed....they are not really expensive either.Also Elemental Designs makes great subs......their subs used to be made by Image Dynamics and still follow the same designs for the most part.
