There's a setting for defrosting the windshield while also warming your feet.

Then again, there's the setting where you can just defrost the windshield. You're in the US, right? From New Jersey?

yes that i know. but if you just put it on feet, dial striaght up it will blow on the window meaning that it does not have to be on defog using ac when it's negative degrees outside.

kou I put that very thing into the Yaris Secrets thread pre hack. The beauty of it is you can sometimes defrost the windows without having to turn on the AC condensor which of course allows you to defrost and still get optimum mileage. That very thing helps me get as high as 49.987 mpg spring summer and fall.

Hey yeah. My car does that too!! It's actually quite annoying since there IS a setting that allows for both feet and winshield defrost. I was considering talking to my dealership about that...because if I want hot air on my cold feet and NOT on my windshield - it better well happen. Heh. There is a considerable amount of air going to the windshield on that setting that could be directed to my cold toes during this cold winter.

It is part of the safety design. Air flow on the windshield helps keep it clear.

For the people complaining about air always coming out of the dash vents..... here is a unique suggestion CLOSE THEM!
