Wow, the Honda Fit has taken a strong lead.

I think the two main reasons many people didn't get the Fit was that it was two pricey for the Sport (necessary) and the extreme scarceness of the '07-'08's.

I hate to say it but when it really comes down to it, the Toyota dealer was closer than the Honda dealership.

What kind of distances are we talking about?

When I went shopping, I searched within a 300 mile radius. I'd easily drive 300 miles to a dealer that had the car I wanted.

Yes, the Fit would have been my other choice, and those two reasons worked against it. The only other car I looked at this time was the Nissan Versa, and for me it didn't come close to the Fit and the Yaris. Ironically, once the Yaris won out I ended up getting the sedan instead of the hatchback anyway.
