I don't understand why you are so venemous about this, Kaotic. You were wrong. You know you were wrong. You knew your tint was illegal the day you put it on and you are just lucky that you got away with it this long.

Getting upset with a law enforcement officer just for doing her job and speaking about her in such a demeaning and vulgar fashion is not only unproductive but shows a certain lack of maturity on your part.

You are smarter than this, bud, and you are definitely better than this. Man up, take responsibility for your actions, have the proper tint put on the front windows, pay the fine and learn at least enough from this event to not repeat your mistake.

KL, it's not often i agree with BailOut on much, but he's right. If you want a super-tint for shows, then make it a Trailer Queen and keep the DD legal.

I know I have tint, but what I was bitching about (and what made me mad/upset) is the fact that don't drive like an idiot, and I don't speed or anything, yet I get pulled over.

Also, found this and was told by multiple people that the tint law has changed.

http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d12/vc26708_2.htm

35% is legal, and instead of paying the fine, I am now going to fight it.

Also, if she were doing her job properly, she would have tested the tint on the spot. I know she is doing her job, but come on now, pulling some one who is not doing anything physically wrong? There are countless of people out there, as I know you know, that drive like mad mans and should have their licenses revoked. I've had many close-misses due to those drivers. I'd like to see CHP pull them over, instead of people who are trying to save gas. I bought my tint so I wouldn't have to use my a/c. I don't ever use my a/c unless it so hot to the point I'm about to pass out.

The thing is, my fronts aren't even that tinted. The fact that I have a dark car and black interior just makes it appear darker than it is. I believe that is what fooled the officer. My car looked tinted from certain angles even before it was tinted.

That's what I had thought, but I didn't know that it was changed to 35%. My friend gave me this link.

On second read, I don't think that that link applies to me.

Back to square one.

But thats not a option in the yaris heh.
That's what I normally do, but I never even saw her. I'm assuming she was far back, was speeding in the fast lane, saw my car, slowed down near my speed, eyed me, and then pulled me over. I'll usually spot a Crown Vic at least a quarter mile away, and roll my windows down.

Where I'm from, if I get pulled over and the officer walks towards my car with a knife drawn, I'm driving off and calling 911 as I drive. I've seen enough slasher movies.
