I don't mind that at all. It was all I could afford in a new car (my first ever, at the age of 52 when I got it). No shame there.
I've had people say "What, no power windows?". The answer is always the same - "If you don't have the energy to wind down your window, you shouldn't be driving." And a hand-cranked window in the rain or snow ALWAYS goes up faster than the electric version.
