here again..

has anyone tried to get a dual VVTI 1.8L and swap engines here in the US for the stock 1NR-FE? if so...what kind of performance did you get? what else do you have to change (ECU, CAMS, etc)? and most important what was the $ ballpark after everything is running smoothly?

Who said Yaris was slow?

No one has done it.
IMHO is not worth it... yet. Perhaps with some more development on the 1.8 platform it could become a good choice for a swap in the future. Perfomance figures? Same performace as any Yaris TS. Nothing impresive, hence why I say not worth it yet. This should be a straight forward swap. But a little problem will have to be sorted. Where do you find a 1.8 engine? For cheap at least... Hmm, perhaps going the supercharger route would be more cost productive.
