i have both simota SRIs and a aFe intake. from personal experience, the simota carbon SRI is rated very high for looks, you may have to get a smaller battery to fit it, or a certain way...either way its pretty damn tight fit. and the power is pretty linear..actually i really never pushed the car with it on, cause i was still breaking the car in lol. the other simota inake looks nice and shiny, and you wont feel power until the higher rpms, and it feels great to have a slight kick at a certain rpm! It hits 115mph pretty easily once you get it up there. definately a sweetspot noticable. the AFE intake is very good for low to midrange rpm, i definately feel it kick pretty early on, but compared to the simota, the higher rpms is meh. it feels pretty sluggish going past 100, but the low end makes up for it. so its up to you. the price cant be beat for both of them. the AFE certainly feels more solid, and fits slightly better, and i see less water spots.. the simota is great for your buck, good looking, and unique.. the difference between the two is pretty noticable. i wanna do a dyno run soon and compare :(

option , but one thing is a certain if you are not running a 10% under drive pullie any gains will be very minimal. I personally am running the AFE intake with the 10% under drive pullies and the differance is quite amazing. but at the end it all comes back to what you feel comfortable installing. |
