This is a true story.....
After the passing of my first wife I was close friends with a woman (who is now my wife) and she did not want anything for valentines day. She drove a small ford ranger truck that needed work (to put it kindly)..... I asked to borrow her truck to move some trash....... new shocks, tires, thermostat, oil change and cleaned out the cab. When I returned the truck I did not say a word but I told her when I went to the dump I threw away a few things...... It was not anything she could afford and it was a gift from a friend. I sure do miss the days when gifts were that easy and cheap.

A St. Valentine's gift should be personal. If you know someone else enough then a present will be something that they enjoy.
Best advice would be to get them something that they've been quietly hinting at for a long time. Gene |

I was going to suggest duct taping them to your home gym while they are wearing old beat up clothing. Carefully expose parts of them with a pair of scissors so that "vulnerable" areas of their body are exposed. Tickle them with feathers, and other stuff. Strip tease for them. Make them produce animal noises in various ways. Frustrate and please them in turn.
However this is a family oriented forum so we don't get too explicit, right? Gene |

I like personalizing stuff.. One time, I embroidered/stitched his name in 7 handkerchiefs. This was one of my "fix it" cases guys and he likes crying so yeah, long story...
Hmm.. I made a box full of origami hearts which each contained a different poem/song Flowers are always good specially if you know what they really like... The one time that I gave out flowers, I arranged it myself What else... uhm, themed gifts? Like, I just mailed my boyfriend his Valentine's gift package that contained all pink stuffs. LOL. Pink DOMO ftw! |

Make a CD of love songs that remind you of her.

Write a heart felt letter. Go to the card shop and steel some good verses from love cards. Thats what I did when I had to write my wedding vows. I strung the verses from 3 cards. My wife was amazed that my feelings ran so deep.

The best gift you can give your loved one, is a passionate kiss. Make it count, make it mean something and by all means, don't let it fade.

I got mine a lime green penguin stuffed animal with a Kawasaki shirt on it, a sterling silver penguin necklace, and ordered some home-baked Valentine's day goodies from a local bakery here. (chocolate covered strawberries, raspberry cheesecake, etc.. like a platter thing.)
(and if you can't tell, she's obsessed with penguins, and I'm obsessed with Kawasaki. haha.) |
