Help please, can't get my rims off!

I seem to have misplaced the tuner lug key I got when I purchased a set of ADR rims with the lug nuts. I can not seem to find a place to buy this.

If someone can please help me find a place to purchase a new one, it would help a lot!

I believe toyota kept it last time I went in, but they dont want to even check or ask around.

bro you gotta contact the company that made the lug nuts......if it's toyota/mcgard they definitely have an extra lug key for a fee.......

i mean if we had a key to your lug nuts......what would be the point?

dang....four lug nuts that need a key! those rims must be worth$!!!

if you can't find the key.........the mech might have to burn it off......at a price of your rims i believe.....not sure

hope everything goes well

Who was the last person to use the keys? I am thinking maybe somebody put a spare key in one of the compartments? The dealerships usually don't keep spare keys for wheels, I think?

if you know anyone that works in a machine shop they could probably make one for you. those don't look that tough to make. (looking closer you might even be able to stick an extender in there with no socket on it, or weld a nut to the end of an extender)

but I would definitely talk to the company that made them and see if you can get a new key.

Here's the contact info if you haven't already found them

Well, maybe I used the wrong term? Its just a conversion from the type that goes into the lug nut, to the standard outside size like all other stock lug nuts. Thats all it is, just a chunk of metal to upsize the pattern pretty much. There are no lucks or anything.

I remember I thought I lost it once and this guy had a bunch of different sizes and was about to charge me $35 for a new one until I found it on the floor a minute later.

most tire shops will have a lug keys for sale, since it seems you do not have locks, just tuner style lugs. I stripped my lug key a few years back and i bought one at a local wheel and tire shop for $5. I think i may have a few lying around.

I used to work at a tire shop. I kid you not one mechanic had an entire tool box drawer full of wheel locks. You would not belive how many times mecahnics have forgot to put the wheel lock back and left it on thier impact gun or by the wrack to find it later on.

More than likely it was forgot to put back. You can go to any tire shop they should be able to look up your wheel lock set and order a new one. Or more than likely they will have a key laying around for it =). Or you can have them broken off and a new one orderd. I usually charge 10 dollars a lugnut at my shop to break off. But since you have an entire set it could be pricey.

No, its not a lock!!!!! Its just plat in the inside, its just a hex size conversion. Instead of it being like 3/4inch think outside like most lug nuts are, its like 1/2inch inside, so its just a downsizer to connect to the impact gun to get the lug nuts off and on.

That is what I am missing. But hopefully I can find one somewhere.

The way to get these off is easy.

Find a socket that is just a little too big to fit around the outside of the nut. Put some cloth or cardboard in front of the socket and then whack it on using a hammer, remove nut and repeat the process.

That is how I got them off my old car.
