the W7's are very nice although it's more than common knowledge that they are greatly over priced.
In my opinion the XXX Series shouldn't even be compared to the W7's and if given the choice I'd take a XXX 12 over a 12W7 any day. The SQ for the W7's is very good, that's what they are made and known for. The XXX series which I've had the honor of hearing are just as crisp if matched with the respective recommended enclosure and DAMN louder. It's incredible how that sub can move only 1-3MM and be way more than enough bass even for me.
