Hey anyone still following this thread! And no, no hijacking, I like reading all the convo and it was informative to me so it wasn't a hijack hehe.

Soo if you've seen my other posts here and there, I got the car! I don't have the exact price with me to tell you, but if anyone really really wants to know how much mine cost with all the options I mentioned, just ask and I will look at my paper at home and type up the info.

I think it was a good price, maybe could have been better reading about other peoples' prices in recent posts in this forum- but we did do a lot of negotiating, and only one dealer kept up with us when we kept asking for lower.. so maybe its just the area where I was buying from, but it seems like a good price since it was like pulling teeth to get that price. I think it was 14000ish.

My advice for newbies- DO email dealers first. Its nice having emails to print out. I did my negotiating online ok, the price I got in an email my dad couldn't get any lower with another dealer he was talking to in person. So we went to the dealer who gave me the good price online and we worked the price even lower. One snag we got was in the end, we had a price and when the salesman was writing down what options the car had he didn't write down keyless entry.

I told him thats what I told him I wanted in the email and thats what I thought I was negotiating. He said that price didn't include keyless and he did not tell me that, and it would be extra. I told him he did say it included keyless... again denied.... finally, I whiped out HIS email I printed with his words "and keyless entry" and the price and he was just like "oh oops i made a mistake, we can't do that". My father got POed and said he probably did it on purpose. They said they couldnt get us keyless unless we paid extra... we opted out, put down a deposit and left.

Next day my dad called to another dealer and told him the price we got- except we wanted keyless in that price. His dealer said sure. Called back first dealer and he finally caved and gave us keyless with our price because he didnt want us going to the other dealer. So yea, moral is, even if a dealer tells you something is impossible, if you are going to cancel the purchase they will probably cave.

So, overall I am soooo satisfied and happy. Its so cool, small, fun, clean etcetc. I love it.

-There are some things that bother me and I will mention just incase a potential buyer is lurking around. The center console does take a little bit or readjusting, but its not a big deal at all. The only bother I have is since the console is in the center, your steering wheel area is completely dark at night.. I don't reall like that feeling. Same with the gear shift area, its really dark and its taking some getting used to looking at the console to see if I'm in the right gear instead of the actual shifter at night.

-Keeping the dashboard looking nice is annoying me! I never cared about my old car so this is new to me. I bought Armor All dashboard protectant/cleaner wipes, but I get streaks unless I use a dry cloth to clear away the armor all. Which kind of defeats the purpose of me buying wipes instead of the spray since I still needed to buy a cloth to wipe away the streaks.. hopefully I'll find out the right thing for me.

-Also, I already have a scratch on my dashboard =/ I need to buy some kind of scratch remover I guess. I don't know where or what though and hope it will work.

-I never considered how hard it would be to find the car in the parking lot! I always forget where I am. And since its so short, I don't see my bumper to help me find it like with my old car... I want to buy an antenna topper to maybe help me find it from the top instead of bumper lol.

-I found it odd that the hatch doesn't have a button pop inside the car, but that you need to use the key. I am just used to popping my trunk from the inside.

Anyway, just silly little things, yet I still love the car.
Out of everything the scratch on the dashboard is what's bothering me the most lol.

If anyone has gotten to the end of this long post, have any recomendations? I went to stores like Walmart and grocery stores to check out car sections, and paint sections, but can't find any scratch remover. It has to exist though since I've seen infomercials for super duper scratch removers.

Ohh also, pics will be coming soon. I am at work now but will try to remember to spam the forum with pics :D

**edit** Some safety issues I forgot to mention:
I'm really not used to the feel of it on the highway and when its windy.. feels really unstable. Maybe I will get used to it.

Also getting used to blind spots.. when I turn my head I don't see as much in the back/side area compared to in a sedan, also the head rest seems too high. It also feels like its in my way when I try to look back. I guess its just getting used to a hatchback vs sedan, but I do get worried I won't see something when I'm doing head checks. =/
